FLHSMV-Approved DUI Program
Tri-County Human Services provides Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) approved DUI classes, DUI evaluations, and related services for individuals seeking to satisfy court, probation, or license reinstatement requirements.
Our DUI programs serve residents of:
- Polk County
- Highlands County
- Hardee County
- Manatee County
- Sarasota County
- DeSoto County
Whether you have been charged with a first-time DUI or are required to complete a program as a repeat offender, our experienced staff will guide you through the registration process and help you meet Florida requirements.
Which DUI Class Do I Need?
Level I DUI Program
The Level I DUI Program is designed for individuals who have been charged with a DUI offense and have never previously completed a DUI program.
This program consists of:
- 12 hours of DUI education
- 1-hour substance use evaluation
- FLHSMV-compliant curriculum
- Information on alcohol and drug impairment
- Florida DUI laws and legal requirements
- Strategies for making safer decisions and preventing future offenses
Level I is generally required for first-time DUI offenders, individuals with certain alcohol-related driving offenses, and those directed by the court or FLHSMV to complete a DUI program.
Level II DUI Program
The Level II DUI Program is designed for individuals with prior DUI offenses or previous DUI program participation.
This program consists of:
- 21 hours of DUI education
- 1-hour substance use evaluation
- Advanced DUI prevention education
- Information on the impact of substance use on driving ability
- Florida DUI laws and license requirements
- Long-term planning to prevent repeat offenses
Level II is generally required for repeat DUI offenders, individuals with previous DUI program attendance, and certain court-ordered or FLHSMV-required cases.
DUI Evaluations
All participants are required to complete a confidential substance use evaluation conducted by a certified DUI evaluator.
The evaluation helps determine whether additional services or treatment recommendations are required under Florida DUI Program guidelines.
Registration Information
Program Fees
- Level I DUI Program: $361.73
- Level II DUI Program: $537.68
All fees are non-refundable.
Before You Register
To participate in the Tri-County DUI Program, you must live, work, or attend school within our service area.
You may be asked to provide:
- Driver’s License or Photo ID
- Citation or case information
- Arrest documentation
- Breath or blood alcohol results (if applicable)
- Probation information (if applicable)
Additional documentation requirements may apply.
Important Program Requirements
- Registration must be completed within the required timeframe established by the court or FLHSMV.
- Participants must complete all classes and evaluation requirements.
- Failure to complete the DUI Program within required deadlines may result in additional penalties, license cancellation, probation violations, or other consequences determined by the court or FLHSMV.
